SUMMARY

Safely and efficiently maintain housekeeping in and around the raw board press hall.

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday (day shift)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain strict and consistent housekeeping standards in various areas related to board manufacturing:
  • Forming Line
  • Raw Board Press
  • Raw Board Press Hall
  • Minimax System
  • Primary & Secondary Hot Oil Rooms
  • Hydraulic Room
  • Keller System
  • Press Pit
  • Mat Reject Pit
  • Diagonal Saw Enclosure & Surrounding areas and equipment
  • Board Breaker equipment & area
  • Cooling Wheel pit
  • CTC Stacker
  • Blending Area
  • Milling Area
  
  

• Must be able and willing to operate the following equipment (with training):
  • Forklift
  • Floor Sweeper
  • Guzzler
  • Bobcat Skid Steer Loader & Attachments
  • Manlifts
  • Gas Monitors for Confined Space Entry
  • Half & Full-Face Respirator (pending a pulmonary function test)
  
  

• Daily/Weekly routines include but not limited to: emptying waste hoppers into larger collection containers, removing excess or spilled wood fiber and cleaning equipment and floors, proper procedures for oily waste disposal, ensure utility and fire hoses are returned to designated racks, all fire hazards around equipment are kept in a safe state.
• Become knowledgeable with LOTO procedures concerning the Press, Press RTO, Keller system, Diagonal Saw, Cooling Wheels, CTC Stacker, hydraulics, and hot oil systems.
• Provide direction and guidance to contractors while washing/cleaning press, Keller & RTO ductwork, and RTO cans during maintenance down days/runtime as well as fill role of attendant during confined space work
• Communicate with appropriate personnel (i.e. Control Room, QC, Leadership) as required regarding the area performance
• Create work notifications for equipment problems in a timely manner and follow-up as needed to ensure work is completed.
• Proficient with all lock-out procedures and fire equipment associated with the area.
• Know and follow SOP’s.
• Must attend and participate in all required training
• Perform opportunity work when time allows
• Help in other areas of the mill when required.

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent attendance and safety record

• Good communications skills both verbal and written
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a high temperature area
• Must work well with other employees, supervisors and managers.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule and overtime when required
