TITLE: General Manager
REPORTS TO: District Manager
PURPOSE: To manage an Arby’s unit toward the attainment of agreed
upon sales and profit goals, working within the framework of company values and policies. Assumes full responsibility of all store needs. Complete all actions outlined in the MTP chart for position
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Full certification of all MTP positions
- Increase sales by providing outstanding product and service.
- Write an effective work schedule each week and post it by 5 PM on Friday
- Efficiently quarterback any size or volume of shift.
- Insure restaurant is 100% staffed with quality Team Members.
- Insures delivery on all policy, procedures, and legal requirements
- Review the performance of all Team Members and Support Managers two times per year.
- Execute the Twelve Systems daily to insure a clean, organized restaurant, prepared to deliver quality food, fast and friendly.
- Lead training of Team Members on orientation, prep, and opening.
- Lead Cleaning in the areas of lobby and bathrooms.
- Complete accountability of TMTP systems, setting action plans, and follow thru to completion.
- Complete accountability of cleaning systems, setting action plans, and follow thru to completion.
- Completes accurate and timely weekly and monthly admin and P&L accounting
- Purchase food, beverages and supplies as needed and oversee their preparation to insure that every product served meets our high standards of product quality.
- Operate in accordance with established performance, profits and operating standards as set out in the OSM.
- Supervise and motivate entire staff to perform to their highest possible level of ability.
- Have a good working knowledge of all equipment, and assume responsibility for preventive maintenance of a unit.
- Maintain high standards of service throughout the operational day through management by example.
- Utilize all management tools to keep neat, accurate and current records providing the historical data to plan for increased sales and profits.
- Insure all marketing plans are executed on time and accurately to build repeat customer visits.
- Responsible for initiating and implementing approved Local Store Marketing ideas in addition to being involved in the community
- Review financials and progress toward goals with the District Manager each period. Take action to solve problems as necessary.
- Communicate openly and honestly with store and supervisor about plans, progress and problems.
- Continually help develop Support Managers in the operation of an Arby’s unit and help them attain career track goals.
- Provide leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude and commitment toward Company objectives. Create an atmosphere of “Esprit de Corp.”
- Makes decisions to help control the unit controllable expenses
- Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description
- Follows thru on tasks and other duties, as assigned by the District Manager
