ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
ARCA Recycling, Inc. is seeking a HUMAN RESOUCES COORDINATOR at our corporate office in Edina responsible for Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits suplimental and support functions for the Company. This position will be required to work out of the Edina location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support HR VP in educating employees on and enforcing company policies
- In charge of screening, new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly completed and submitted.
- Responsibile for training managers on on-line recruitment and managing screening practices and onboarding of newhires
- Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
- Prepare, verify and process bi-weekly payroll for company this includes adding new hires, processing terms, changes, deductions for Canadian subsidiary payroll
- Responsible for and monitor ADA, FMLA, and LOA Assist in maintaining computerized Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Assist in Contract response to Badge applications and turn-ins
- Update company on-line learning system adding/deleing employees
- Coordinate Benefit Enrollments for New Hires, COBRA, Benefit Termination letters
- Provide resource and answer employee payroll and benefit questions
- Responsible for responding to verifications of employment, UI claims and misc. wage inquiries.
- Assist the Safety Director regarding worker compensation injuries and return to work programs.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS
- A commitment to high professional ethical standards
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field
- Minimum 4-5 years professional experience in Human Resources, Payroll and Benefit adminstration prefered
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- General knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource administration including above average knowledge in ADA and FMLA and multi-state laws
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and the general public
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines, flexibility as priority changes demand.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
