Role description:

Arcadis is seeking part time archaeological field technician for upcoming project work in the Midwest, U.S. Role is posted in Cleveland, OH. This role is Part Time. Candidates must be local to Cleveland, OH and be able to commute onsite for field work.

Role accountabilities:

• Perform archaeological fieldwork for all levels of investigation (Phase I-III), as needed.
• Perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (e.g., rugged and unfamiliar terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures).
• The ability to travel to different project locations.
• The ability to walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, as well as, carry supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Conduct shovel testing, pedestrian survey, and site documentation.
• Be able to work under an Archaeological Field Director and work with a crew of field archaeologists

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must have completed an archaeological field school or have at least 6 months of archaeological field experience
• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology or a related field
• Demonstrated experience conducting archaeological fieldwork
• Knowledge of cultural resources management and archaeological fieldwork
