Arcadis is currently searching for a Water Specialty Consultant , with 30 years of solid waste management experience, to work as a Part Time / As Needed employee , for our Resilience Water team to serve as a remote worker located in Florida.

Role description:
The Specialty Consultant will utilize their specialty technical knowledge and expertise with regards to integrated solid waste management, with a specific focus on implementation and operation of waste to energy facilities as well as historical knowledge of the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County leadership, to assist our team with successfully delivering solid waste management and waste-to-energy projects in Florida and nationwide. The consultant should have a “can do” attitude with a strong interest in solid waste management, waste to energy, feasibility, permitting and operations, and engineering of sound solutions.
Role accountabilities:
- Review and quality control of technical documents.
- Assistance in the preparation of technical documents relating to solid waste management with a focus on waste-to-energy feasibility, permitting, financing, procurement, design and construction review, and long-term operations.
- Coordinate with and participate in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Participation as a member of project teams working closely with technical and administrative leadership staff.
- Possess a working knowledge of word processing software such as MS Word and spreadsheet software such as MS Excel.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
