Summary/Objective
- Commit to plant safety procedures; as with each role within Archem America, Inc., everyone is responsible to strive towards a safe, healthy, and clean working environment.
- Oversee the entire production area.
- Manage production team to achieve company objectives and goals.
Essential Functions
- Establish and maintain work instructions for the production area.
- Set and manage production budgets.
- Supervise and evaluate performance of all production personnel (production team members and supervisors). Set production goals and communicate those goals to all direct reports.
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Prepare and maintain production reports.
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Drive companies 3S initiatives and continuous improvement processes
- Schedule work through production to maintain project installation schedules and exceed customer’s expectations.
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Investigate production issues and develop resolutions.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage, mentor, and develop plant staff
- Recommend and implement cost reduction activity. Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime, or similar
- Develop and maintain production procedures to achieve company goals; Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Stay up-to-date with latest production management best practices and concepts along with equipment technological advancements

Required Education and Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum five (5) plus years of experience in managerial or supervisory role in manufacturing
- Proven experience as a production supervisor or manager
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, scheduling, resource allocation and human resources)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Computer literacy
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Knowledge and use of production software
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum seven (7) plus years of experience in managerial or supervisory role in manufacturing
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all Salary non-exempt employees of the Production department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment
This job interacts daily with production team members. The job includes working in a busy manufacturing floor and warehouse areas. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

- Limited physical demands, sedentary for up to 50% of the day.
- Able to walk the plant floor multiple times a day.

- The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and is expected to work a minimum of 45 hours per week. Standard work times are Monday through Friday during core assigned hours and ability to work on weekends. Must be flexible with hours and days to accommodate business needs
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
