General Function Of The IT Manager / Coordinator:
This employee manages the efficiency of the overall technical operations of the agency Information Technology systems. This includes assuring that the basic systems are functional and that problems are remedied as quickly as feasible. This employee researches or assists in researching the software programs or systems that are needed or used in the daily operation, assisting in evaluating efficiency and thoroughness of the systems. The IT Manager / Coordinator assures efficiency in the required or necessary communications with, between, and among direct support staff and managers of direct support staff by managing the communication devices, providing instruction on these, and assuring that staff have operational equipment. Regarding operational programs for accounting, payroll, or other administrative functions, the IT Manager / Coordinator evaluates the capacity of the agency’s hardware, software, and electronic resources capacity to assure these are sufficient to support agency needs.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of sophisticated electronic information delivery and usage, including the hardware, software, and the intersections of these.
- Ability to analyze and address IT issues related to the hardware and software and to determine steps to remedy difficulties that arise.
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of the actual hardware and software systems used or needed by the agency and to make recommendations for change when needed.
- Ability to work with IT vendor or other IT resource personnel or agents to produce the best outcome for ARCO.
- Instructional skills for teaching basic information regarding the operation of hardware and software programs used to document service delivery.
Essential Functions
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
- Managing company tablets for the implantation of Electronic Visit Verification required by state licensing
- Developing company policies for company issued tablets and email.
- Assuring that any suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or extortion of any participant is reported to the Executive Director immediately.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Demonstrating the ability to train users in both new and existing IT systems.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills with a commitment to understanding employee requirements as well as business objectives.
- Commitment to supporting new technology implementation.
- Setting up accounts for new users
- Repairing and replacing phones, copiers, and printers equipment as necessary
- Testing new technology
- Possibly training more junior staff members
- Developing new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve employee satisfaction
- Using and permitting ARCO’s use of electronic communication (tablets, real-time cameras, videos, etc.) and GPS tracking of activities for the business purposes of ARCO as described in the consents provided in specific training for these.
- Capturing and transmitting Electronic Visit Verification accurately and timely as required by the State and by ARCO, if that is a function of the job.
- Protecting HIPAA information as required by law. To use an electronic tablet provided by ARCO for capturing and communicating HIPAA protected information including Electronic Visit Verification billing or other business, and to communicate with management through the use of this tablet.
- Allowing monitoring of all devices and applications used for work purposes, including those that are personal devices with which ARCO work or information is done or stored.
- Employees are expected to occasionally participate in a broad array of agency efforts where the work may differ from the typical functions of the job for which an employee was hired and to do so in a way that promotes the mission of the agency. Employees are required to have their names, pictures, or videos used by ARCO in a way that informs a targeted group or general public of the agency’s work and mission. Installing and overseeing vehicle tracking hardware, program, and training in regard to monitoring and running reports.
