Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa Subsidiary, is searching for a Production Scheduler for our Lancaster, SC facility. In this role, the Production Scheduler is responsible for production scheduling, production planning and manufacturing project management while working alongside the Shipping Supervisor, Fabrication Supervisor, and Fit/Weld Supervisor.

What You'll Do:
- Works alongside the Shipping Supervisor, Fabrication Supervisor, and Fit/Weld Supervisor reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager
- Indirectly reports to the Materials Manager to schedule daily fabrication tasks necessary to achieve targets set by the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
- Smooth production schedule based on customer commitments, specific job needs, and manufacturing complexity based on production capacity, capability, and material availability
- Provide up-to-date and accurate scheduling and production information to the plant leadership teams
- Work in close coordination with production and quality teams to identify engineering errors, request changes to prints, track changes, release to production, and drive timely response to request for changes
- Maintain data accuracy on raw materials, work in process and completed parts/components keeping necessary stakeholders informed
- Communicate changes to impacted stakeholders, (i.e., manufacturing, programming, purchasing, plant management, supervisors, etc.) on an ongoing basis
- Facilitate pre-production planning meetings and ensure action items are completed resulting from this meeting
- Work across departments to ensure hardware is available before scheduled production start dates to include managing the plant outsourcing process
- Manage a small team of production programmers to ensure jobs are accurately programmed and released to production in a timely manner.
- Optimize machine utilization through production scheduling to eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the scheduling process and support plant continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated success with manufacturing planning, capacity, and material requirements
- Knowledge of MRP systems
- Computer proficiency: Create, modify, and format charts, filter data, perform multiple-level sorting, mathematical, logical, statistical, and financial functions, group and dissociate data and perform interactive analysis.
- Adaptable and flexible mindset with the ability to positively react to changes impacting the planning and scheduling functions
- Demonstrated ability to influence teams regarding planning, capacity, and material availability
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus
