Position Title:

Quality Control Manager

Position Type: (Exempt / Non-exempt; FT/PT/Temp)

Pay/Salary Range:

Up to 70K

Location:

TMMI - Princeton, Indiana

Description of job responsibilities:

  • Analyze and follow customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
  • Review and update specifications for processes.
  • Oversee the compliance with health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards set by both ARD and regulatory authorities are met.
  • Monitor the work of inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Seek to instill a Quality Culture throughout the organization.
  • Develop, lead, and execute the quality strategy in the warehouses. This includes direct leadership for the quality assurance teams to ensure superior product and process quality.
  • Lead and improve all aspects of site quality performance ensuring alignment with business objectives and key stakeholders.
  • Review and update project documentation and perform statistical analysis.
  • Collect feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met.
  • Prepare detailed reports and present them to appropriate executives.
  • Keep informed about opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.

Required Education:

  • BS or BA degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience required.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Three - five years automotive industry experience preferred.
  • 2 years' experience of working as a Quality Manager or other similar position.
  • Significant experience with quality control procedures and relevant legal standards.
  • Significant experience with data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Responsible and conscientious, with a results driven approach.
  • Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Certification in ISO 9000, ASQC/CQM/CQE preferred.
  • Post Hire Training Required: APQP, ISO, PPAP Submission Process, Containment Process (Level I, II, III).

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds unattended. Ability to deal with stress associated with meeting multiple deadlines and demands.

While traveling and performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to various warehouse work environment where all safety rules and regulations must be followed.
