We are looking for a Clinical Operations Analyst to join our Clinical Informatics team in Albuquerque, NM.
This full-time job is located with Lovelace Shared Services, organizational support departments for all Lovelace facilities including Coding, Finance, Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle, Marketing, and the Resource Team. Clinical Operations Analyst Job Responsibilities:
Provides analytical and operational expertise to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and other related system initiatives under the direction and guidance of the Clinical Informatics Department Lead, to assist in the development, customization and support of the computerized patient record system and adapts the selected software to the physician/patient encounter of the assigned physician group(s).
Maintains patient, employee, physician, and corporate confidentiality; respects the rights, privacy, and property of others.
Assists the IT Team in developing work flow improvements by data gathering and appropriate analysis and testing.
Utilizes the requirements and processes of obtaining complete medical history and physical data from patients to assist in developing a non-obtrusive manner for entry into the computerized medical record.
Monitors proper flow of clinical and demographic data to assure accurate and timely ordering of laboratory and other diagnostic procedures.
Provide functional support, design, training and guidance in physician practice clinical application, during both implementation and on-going support phases.
Participates in the on-call and/or clinic rounding rotation duties in support of our users, which includes physicians, support staff, and clinical management.
Clinical Operations Analyst Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience in a clinical setting, preferably in physician clinic processes
Three (3) years experience in a physican group, or similar health care area, experience with training responsibilities
Knowledge of ambulatory clinical processes and work flow.
Subject matter expertise with an electronic medical record preferred.
Knowledge of primary care and specialty medical practice, care protocols, and evaluation and treatment of patients.
Skilled in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide ongoing patient care.
Proficient in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with medical and support staff, and the public.
Able to react calmly and effectively in high stress situations.
Ability to communicate clearly and to develop the information flow through patient encounters of all types.
Skilled in communicating these requirements to other project members and system users.
Skilled in using Microsoft products.
