General purpose of the job

Lead a team of marketers focused on developing end market and product portfolio strategies, launching new products, and driving demand in the support of profitable growth for a business totaling over $2.5BN in revenue

Individual accountabilities

  • Lead go to market strategy and plan development/implementation for our Cement business using short- and long-term business and sales objectives, market trends and insights, buyers’ journeys, brand positioning, and end-user needs and pain points and product profitability data
  • Connect supply, demand, capacity, and pricing dynamics to formulate on-going assessment of market conditions and partner with leadership to develop/monitor/modify growth strategies
  • Partner with cross functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on prioritization, progress, challenges, and opportunities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Cement business
  • Assess opportunities by developing business case analysis that includes addressable market, competitive review, operational implications, financial modeling, and growth projections
  • Manage Cement product portfolio including development of product strategies based on profitability; Create quantified value propositions and differentiated positioning strategies
  • Work with key stakeholders, including Sales, Growth Marketing Services Growth teams to launch demand generation strategies aligned to marketing plan
  • Partner with Market Intelligence to conduct market research and insight work to elevate customer engagements
  • Evaluate, analyze, and understand the voice of the customer through a variety of data sources to create “customer” personas, need states and buyers’ journeys
  • Drive change and influence senior leaders with a balance of analytics and achieving results. Leads quarterly reviews with executive leadership to ensure strategy alignment and positive results
  • Establish effective sales enablement tools and training by partnering with Sales Leadership and Sales
  • Leverage market, customer, and competitive insights to identify realized and unrealized needs to fill the innovation pipeline with new product or service opportunities
  • Partner with cross functional teams to ensure Salesforce and Argos customer ordering system is fully leveraged and utilized
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams from operations, innovation and commercial to activate the innovation pipeline and stage gate projects and business case development

Education

Bachelor's Degree required

Related field, MBA desired

Technical knowledge and certifications

  • 5 years of strategic marketing or similar experience - working in cross functional team environments
  • Proactive, adaptable and naturally curious
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify messages for a variety of internal and external audiences
  • Superior project management and interpersonal skills
  • Team player who can build trust with stakeholders through collaboration and partnership
