AriensCo is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to complete projects of increasing complexity related to the manufacturing process while under the mentorship and close supervision of experienced engineers. Technical expertise and competence along with continuous product innovation are the primary goals of this position. This position is located at our headquarters in Brillion, WI.
The Day to Day...
Analyze tooling and process steps for all engineering changes and new products.
Setup/revise process data in the PLM system, including information about on time and material usage to produce the various parts. This may involve performing time studies and/or producing prototype parts to get accurate data.
Study the existing process and design and execute experiments/tests with new tools, changes to build orders or adds/deletes to improve efficiency.
Coordinate Process Trials on changed or new product.
Interoperate data from quality reports and determine needed actions to operations.
Conduct external research on new innovative processes and recommend solutions.
Work with NPD Engineering and Operations to define best practice procedures and techniques in producing the necessary parts and products.
Train operators in how to properly perform a task or how a piece of equipment works and document processes, create training aides/standard work.
Involved in safety, productivity, quality, and future planning events, working on solutions to technical related issues.
The Qualifications...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited institution with the focus in Manufacturing and 5 years or less relevant experience.
Engineering internship experience is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to complete small to moderately complex engineering assignments with the mentorship of more experienced engineers.
Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and to use and understand engineering software tools with training.
