What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Intake Coordinator position at Arizona Small Dog Rescue?

We are a local 501c3 Nonprofit No-Kill Animal Rescue and Shelter looking to hire an Intake Coordinator to work in our Phoenix shelter. Our rescue constantly takes in many dogs and puppies and the Intake Coordinator position is vital to get them comfortable and set up for a successful future! *Experience in the animal rescue/veterinary field is highly preferred.
Responsibilities for Intake Coordinator include:
- Safe handling of new dogs and puppies during intake process
- Creating files and fulfilling necessary paperwork and intake forms
- Entering vital information into the computer software system
- Determining animals' immediate needs upon arrival (vetting, behavior, etc.)
- Prepping and completing adoption files for dogs ready for adoption
- Photography and rendering of dog adoption biographies
Requirements for Intake Coordinator are:
- Must love dogs!
- 3 years of progressively responsible office experience.
- Experience with administering vaccinations and microchips.
- High school graduate or equivalent GED.
- Excellent computer, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Legible handwriting and record keeping skills.
- Must be able to work flexible days 9am until 6pm.
- Photography experience or willingness to learn.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
