Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of new end-user laptops and workstations, PCs, and Macs.
  • Troubleshoot issues with common University software such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, and web-based storage and tools such as Google Drive and Box.com.
  • Become proficient in understanding and maintaining teaching and conference room technology, such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Participate in project requirements gathering, research external IT service provider options.
  • Develop regular online communications regarding technology changes targeted to impacted users.
  • Meet with units and faculty to help perform needs assessments, requirements gathering and document potential process improvements.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines: organizational, project and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform service audits and identify security gaps related to account decay or auth/auth mismanagement.
  • Detail orientated; ability to identify trends and patterns.
  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to relate to others through different communication styles.
  • Proficiency in learning new technologies with the intent to train others in new technologies.
