- Develop, organize and conduct experiments to measure the effects of ocular distortion on the progression of myopia. This includes working in a laboratory with optical elements and systems.
- Analyze of data collected in experiments that are undertaken, as well as existing datasets, focused on ocular distortion and myopia progression. This includes advanced image analysis using Matlab and other such programs. Report findings to PI. Train lower level support staff or student workers. Mentor and share knowledge with student workers or support staff.
- Participate in the writing and authorship publications and other means of dissemination (e.g. conference proceedings, dissertation, etc) of the results that are obtained.
- Evaluate current limitations in the measurement technology and determine next steps to iterate and optimize on the measurement process.
