The Position
The Information Technology (IT) Manager will be a critical part of the office of the CTO and will help with Solution Architecture and provide strategic leadership on Arkalytics Services and Support to obtain maximum performance gains for the platform. The IT Manager will work closely with the CTO and other department heads to ensure that Arkalytics Implementations and support services are run optimally. This position requires a balance of technical, data and analytical expertise and is a critical position between the implementation and support services of Arkalytics forming a bridge between the CTO, PMO, Technical teams and the CSM team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and architect development and implementation of the Arkalytics platform offerings
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to the team following Arkalytics best practices for Data Management
  • Review Test Strategies and Code (Python & SQL)
  • Lead operational metrics development, analysis and reporting for Arkalytics Service desk, Staffing, planning and optimizing the Service desk
  • Ensure Arkalytics Implementations are streamlined, standardized, scalable and fully optimized
  • Oversee the implementation of best practices in support of both Arklaytics Implementations and Support Services
  • Oversee the creation of data assets, documentation and other related strategic initiatives within IT
  • Work with PMO to accurately capture and allocate IT resources to specific projects
  • Develop and report on KPI (leading and lagging indicators) to show performance improvements and effectiveness around Arkalytics Services and support
  • Operate the IT department as a business profit center showing incremental progress to the CTO
  • Work with the CTO on the Arkalytics Technology Plan
  • Respond to Technical RFPs (Request for proposals) in the role of a Solution Architect
  • Remove any IT blockers to ensure smooth project execution
  • Oversee production support across all clients and escalate when necessary to CTO and other stakeholders
  • Ensure IT team is engaged on current trends and developments
  • If assigned, manage the IT team comprising of Engineers / Architects / Developers / Administrators / Analysts
  • Ensure technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely
  • Research and evaluate leading market solutions and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field.
  • 8 years corporate managerial experience, leading cross-functional IT teams consisting of developing IT strategies, development and architecture
  • Strong knowledge of agile principles and processes
  • Experience working on data management projects (data warehousing, BI, analytics, etc)
  • Demonstrate strong personal and organizational leadership and communication skills, excellent ability to listen and capture business and customer feedback
  • 3 years decision-making experience in the financial industry. Credit union or community bank experience preferred
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work and conflicting priorities
  • Drive detailed estimates, work breakdowns, and plans through project management systems and processes
  • Demonstrated leadership of a team of professionals
  • Extensive Data warehousing skills particularly in the Extract Load and Transform areas
  • Extensive experience with SQL and data modeling
  • Extensive experience with AWS and services such as Containers (Fargate), Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, EC2, ECS etc
  • Experience with databases such as Snowflake , Databricks, SQLServer, Oracle, etc
  • Experience with tools such as Talend, Matillion and other ELT/ETL tools
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python

Preferred Experience
  • Certified AWS Cloud or Solutions Architect
  • Exposure to Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Thoughtspot, Qlik, Power BI etc
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience developing SAAS products
  • Experience with Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Desk
  • Experience with Scrum framework
