What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Truck Driver position at Arlington ISD?
Primary Purpose
Perform various warehouse duties including, but not limited to: driving trucks, making deliveries, filling supply orders, loading/unloading trucks, moving furniture and surplus property, taking inventory and assisting warehouse foreman in all warehouse operations.

Physical Demands:
Occasional unassisted heavy lifting and carrying 50 pounds or more. Excessive unassisted moderate lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Excessive reaching, pushing, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, climbing and use of extremities eight hours per day. Frequent operations of trucks, forklifts, pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment. Must be able to see and hear clearly to perform these duties.
Environmental Factors
There will be outside and inside work in all weather conditions. There will be moderate amounts of dust, gasoline fumes and noise. There will be occasions when the warehouse person will be required to operate warehouse equipment listed above and climb ladders.

Qualifications
Minimum Education/Certification/Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas drivers' license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills preferred
- Must be physically able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
- Job requires excessive standing, stooping, reaching, climbing, lifting and bending to receive, fill and deliver orders and move furniture and equipment
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
- One year experience in a warehouse operation or related field
- Receive and fill orders for supplies and equipment. Assist in taking physical inventory
- Deliver supplies and equipment, including furniture
- Complete work orders which may include but are not limited to picking up surplus property and moving furniture, fixtures and equipment
- Assist warehouse foreman in all warehouse operations as assigned
- Any other duties assigned by Managers and/or Director
- Fill in all blanks and provide any information needed to complete Special Trip Sheets
- Keep daily log of miles driven and charge the miles to correct program on the time card
- Provide the Transportation Office with a complete description of assigned route and mileage measurements or any update needed of route description or mileage measurements
- All Regular Ed. Drivers will assign seats on all runs - weekly, the first month of school and monthly thereafter. Be able to communicate in English on the radio and in person
- All other duties as assigned by the director or designee
