Arnall Golden Gregory LLP has opened an Attorney Recruiting Assistant position to be an essential part of the Firm’s Attorney Recruiting Department. The Attorney Recruiting Assistant works closely with the Director of Recruiting and Professional Development and Recruiting Coordinator as a collaborative team to coordinate all activity and meet the goals of the Firm’s Attorney Recruiting Department. The Recruiting Department is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the Firm’s Summer Associate Program; fall recruiting; lateral attorney recruiting; all diversity-related Firm activity; and mentoring and professional development activity. Functionally, the Recruiting Department facilitates interviewing, tracking, hiring, and orientation for externs, summer associates, entry-level associates, and lateral attorneys, summer program event planning, law school event logistics, and networking opportunities for students and attorneys.
The Attorney Recruiting Assistant position requires an individual who is naturally a team player, a valued contributor and an essential member of a collaborative team that makes up the Recruiting Department. The position offers numerous opportunities to interact with students, staff, attorneys, restaurants, caterers, and other vendors, but does not include cold calling. The assistant position requires a detail-oriented professional with the ability to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task, and maintain an appropriate level of integrity and professionalism. The ideal candidate is conscientious, self-motivated, and well-organized.
Position reports to : Director of Recruiting and Professional Development.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Inputting all resumes into a specialized recruiting database. The assistant will ensure prompt coding and accurate data entry for all applicants.
- Creating and maintaining files for candidates, position searches, and tracking contracts with third-party recruiters.
- Entering candidate interview schedules, sending evaluations, and generating reports through the recruiting database.
- Registering for career fairs and on-campus interviews (OCI), creating and maintaining files for each law school, generating resume packets, booking interview rooms, and preparing binders for OCI interviewers.
- Generating callback, no callback, offer, and no offer letters for summer associate candidates.
- Assisting with summer associate candidate callback interview scheduling and logistics.
- Processing travel reimbursements for candidates and coordinating shared expenses with other firms.
- Assisting with the summer program preparation.
- Assisting with the planning of new attorney, summer program, and on-campus events. Attending events occasionally.
- Assisting in lateral candidate interview scheduling and logistics, and coordinating departmental meetings, conference rooms, catering orders, and summer associate lunches.
- Preparing, submitting, and tracking of departmental check requests, invoices, and reimbursements.
- Assisting the director on reports, surveys, statistics projects, and providing general administrative support as needed.
- Assisting with the onboarding of lateral attorneys.
- Performing other work-related responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of two years administrative experience is preferred; experience in a law firm or professional services organization is highly preferred.
- Must have extensive computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required
