Job Description:
- Review and approve welding procedures
- Verify welder and welding procedure qualification
- Verify safety requirements
- Checking welding specifications for a job
- Ensuring the correct equipment and materials are being used for a weld
- Inspecting completed welds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Create quality welds per blueprint
- Inspect welds for accuracy
- Ensure all fixtures are setup properly
- Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required
Qualifications:
- Previous Mig Welding experience required
- Advance knowledge of TIG, MIG, laser, butt, and arc welding techniques
- Must pass a weld test prior to being hired
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of health and safety practices.
