Home Office: JCO, UCOM, or ACO (applicant can pick closest to their home or preference)
Area of Focus: Community Collaboration
Program(s): ROSC (Recovery Oriented System of Care) – ROSC is a coordinated network of community-based services and supports that is person-centered and builds on the strengths and resiliencies of individuals, families, and communities to achieve recovery and improved health, wellness, and quality of life for those with or at risk of substance use disorders.
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Community Grants
Supervises: 3 - Peer Recovery Specialists
Hours of Work: 40 hours/week – Exempt status; Schedules evening or weekend hours as necessary
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field; Qualified as MHP; Must have experience working with those with lived experience or have lived personal experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of local health and human services resources; Must possess administrative, supervisory, problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills; demonstrate excellent communication and public speaking skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent the organization externally across a wide range of stakeholders; requires general knowledge of community prevention and recovery supports for individuals with lived experience with substance use, community resource and human service systems, best practices in maintain a peer recovery workforce, service planning, case coordination, budgeting and funding processes, and policy development; ability to work with and provide high quality services to individuals from all walks of life.
Special Requirements: Travel to all agency sites and community locations when appropriate; schedules evening or weekend hours as necessary; provide proof of a valid driver's license and personal vehicle liability insurance; at least 21 years of age; must complete required registry clearances and criminal fingerprint background checks; maintains CPR & First Aid training requirements; Community Collaboration on-call crisis rotation; must reach CRSS or similar professional certification status within 18 months of hire date.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Participates as a member of the management team to enhance and integrate total agency function; attends management meetings and other agency committees or special projects as assigned; displays initiative by seeking out responsibility.
- Provides crisis intervention services to stabilize consumer condition; links and refers to higher levels of care as needed.
- Participates in Community Collaboration on-call crisis rotation.
- Monitors and evaluates all program(s) and grant contracts to ensure adherence to applicable rules, program standards and that contract deliverables or outcomes are continuously met; submits various reports as required by program contracts/regulations.
- Prioritizes and continually gathers relevant and necessary data to assist Data Coordinator and Project Director conduct program and service evaluation, identify programmatic success and barriers, and ensure quality and efficiency of program operations; communicates programmatic outcomes with Agency Leadership, community stakeholders, and applicable funders.
- Develops and maintains 3 ROSC councils; recruits individuals with lived experience for participation in the council; works with the Grants Outreach Coordinator to schedule meetings, plans agenda and develops handouts; leads and facilitates council meetings; monitors attendance and satisfaction/cohesion of the group.
- Plans and participates in ROSC activities/events focused on prevention, recovery, and community education about substance use.
- Coordinates, communicates, and seeks out opportunities to collaborate and develop partnerships with other community organizations, agencies, and groups.
- Provides direct services in programs under supervision as needed to temporarily meet increased demand for services, or when staff ratios must be maintained for regulatory compliance.
- Work collaboratively with ROSC technical assistance(TA) to achieve programmatic goals and objectives; attends all technical assistance, mentoring, state-wide ROSC meetings, and trainings or learning collaboratives sponsored by the Department or ROSC TA.
- Completes various administrative forms to assure timely and accurate data collection in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Conducts, reviews, and ensures the timely completion of program staff/supervisors probationary or annual performance evaluations; regularly monitors staff performance/productivity.
- Provides individual and/or group supervision to all direct reports; works with program supervisors and direct care staff to balance workload and effort, and provide regular feedback to continuously improve skill-sets.
- Develop and maintain a team-based environment to motivate and inspire staff to work collaboratively toward the Agency’s mission and strategic goals by clearly communicating the agency’s mission/vision.
