Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for an Inventory Control Clerk for the Sutures Department to ensure that throughput, workflow, and production plan goals are accomplished by prepackaging Work Orders accurately and in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and communication skills. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, issues and kits materials based upon the Work Order Bill of Material(BOM) and/or Transfer Order requirements according to Work Instructions and departmental guidelines ensuring continuous workflow and adherence to the Production schedule and expedite list.
- Assigns material retrieval/return instructions to Inventory control specialists assisting with Work Order preparation.
- Counts and issues materials and overages according to released work instructions.
- Prints and applies Tags using printers for Work In Process(WIP) material prior to production use.
- Verifies tags on all kitted materials and ensures tag information matches work order BOM.
- Verifies that the issued materials match the BOM (Bill of Material) required to manufacture the product.
- Generates lot specific product packaging labels using printers according to the router and BOM ensuring labels are accurate and complete.
- Ensures the DHR (Device History Record) is complete and accurate, including all approvals, prior to forwarding the Work Order kit for further processing.
- Promptly notifies area Coordinators and/or Supervisor of any physical inventory discrepancies, ERP and/or manufacturing systems errors or omissions, mislabeled components, missing components or other inventory anomalies.
- Ensure work station is organized and compliant with Area Clearance and Line Separation procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 6 months of prior related prepackaging, packaging, or inventory/stocking experience is desired.
- Previous experience or exposure to medical device manufacturing processes is desired.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Must have the ability to interpret a Bill of Material (BOM) and prepare materials as specified on the Bill of Material or Transfer Order.
- Must accurately issue materials to Production work orders in ERP and/or manufacturing systems.
- Must possess knowledge of basic warehousing concepts and an understanding of the importance of accurate inventory counts and material pull from specified storage locations.
- Requires moderate computer knowledge for material issuance and inventory tracking and control.
- Ability to navigate MQ1(or other document management systems), Agile and ERP systems independently
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
- Label dispensers, thermal/direct transfer and laser printers, label counters, weigh count scales, bag sealers, office printers/scanners, barcode scanners, laminar flow hoods, personal computers, vision inspection systems and software.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
- Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.
