We are a growing, fast-paced manufacturing organization, specializing in a full line of Italian desserts. We are looking for an experienced individual to manage the daily warehouse duties of our small, but growing company. This person will be responsible for all phases of the company’s warehouse management including: shipping, receiving, inventory, staging, warehouse facilities maintenance. Light production assistance with the Production Manager may be required.
Performance evaluation and compensation will be based primarily on the Warehouse Manager’s ability to accurately and efficiently:
Stage all outbound orders
Stage all production materials required for the next day’s production
Receive all inbound raw materials and packaging
Maintain the orderliness of freezers, refrigerators and warehouse areas
Manage a warehouse assistant, when necessary
Adhere and maintain to all company policies and guidelines in the process of accomplishing these goals
This individual would also have full authority of the warehouse area and would report directly to the President of the company. Occasional weekends and evenings may be required.
Education
Have a minimum of a high school diploma.
Experience
Have 5 to 10 years experience in warehouse management (preferably in food manufacturing)
Has worked in an environment requiring strict food and personnel safety
Is knowledgeable in following and maintaining production and inventory systems and procedures.
Have experience with computers and programs, particularly Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Knowledge of PRIMS a plus.
Responsibilities
Shipping
Ensure all orders are accurately picked, staged and labeled in the freezer and/or warehouse the day before pick up
Ensure Bills of Lading are competed before order has shipped with accurate items, counts and lot numbers
Accurately complete Outbound Shipping Forms for each order leaving warehouse
Safely load all orders onto trucks
Comply with safety and quality standards and procedures
Receiving
Verify all items and counts according to Purchase Orders
Accurately complete Incoming Ingredient Form for each incoming shipment
Receive all raw materials and packaging into PRIMS according to inventory location with accurate ingredient counts and lot numbers
Label all raw materials and packaging with PRIMS labels
Physically put away all incoming ingredients and packaging in their proper location
Comply with safety and quality standards and procedures – only receive undamaged goods
Raw Material and Packaging Staging (Backup)
Responsible for all aspects of production software; including but not limited to: maintaining and updating packaging and raw materials, recipes, bills of materials and procedures
Inventory Management
Maintain daily cycle counts
Ensure warehouse is kept organized
Ensure receipt of all deliveries according to company procedures and oversee placement into warehouse
Ensure all inventory items are clearly labeled and dated
Ensure FIFO is used for all ingredients and packaging
Maintain inventory controls on a daily basis, and produce accurate month-end inventory report for accounting.
Sanitation
Ensure that warehouse is maintained and cleaned daily to include but not limited to:
Sweeping
Vacuuming
Disposal of any garbage
Other
Upgrade and maintain professional skills, especially related to new technology and processes
Maintains good personal health and safety protocols
