Works collaboratively with the Weekday Administration and staff to fully support the vision and mission of Asbury Church. The Weekday Media Specialist works collaboratively with fellow staff members to foster a positive, nurturing, and safe environment where each child can grow their relationship with God.
Description
Responsibilities
Supports the Weekday staff by providing access to supplemental teaching resources.
Manages and maintains all forms of media found in the Weekday library and resource room.
Provides a scheduled library time for 4 year old and kindergarten students.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma, college degree a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must fully support the vision and mission of Asbury Church
Must have a growing love relationship with Jesus
Must have a love and passion for preschool children in developing their spiritual, emotional, and intellectual development
Experience working with children in a teaching environment
Must possess interpersonal and communication skills
Must have demonstrated leadership skills
Must possess basic computer and office skills needed for the day-to-day operation that include Microsoft 365 and Book Systems software.
Classification and Hours
Part-time, hourly nonexempt, limited benefits as outlined in the employee guide, approx. 10- hours weekly.
