Ascend Logistics is a non asset-based truckload and less than truckload service provider that offers transportation and logistics services to customers across a wide range of industries. We provide transportation services for customer loads beyond the capacity of our current company fleet operations and by working with small fleets and owner operators, we can provide flexible, customizable service options for our customers.
Ascend Logistics is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative for a direct hire opportunity in Nashville, TN. The CSR is an extremely important piece of our growing logistics team as they are responsible for creating, building, and maintaining relationships with our partner carrier network. The CSR will work collaboratively with the Key Account Management team to ensure that all customer freight is booked for on-time pickup and delivery and work with our carrier partners to provide solutions for their network while negotiating fair rates for their services.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Provide existing and newly acquired carrier partners with a first-class customer service experience by offering freight routes
- Swiftly and efficiently solve problems that arise with the customers' transportation network such as missed deliveries, damaged product, etc.
- Anticipate, identify, and provide creative solutions for issues within the customers' transportation network such as on-time performance, special projects, etc.
- Partner with the Key Account Management team to maximize carrier routes and acquiring additional customer freight
- Continually grow carrier network through building rapport, identifying issues, and offering additional loads
- Use exemplary telephone skills to present a quality-oriented image where the carrier partners are treated in a consistent, courteous, and efficient manner
- Strive to always be proactive and make the customer aware of any issues before the customer lets our team know
- Communicate effectively and professionally with Operation Personnel, Drivers and management of all levels.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS preferred or High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous driving experience or 6 months of customer service experience

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
