You will work on a variety of projects from complete kitchens and bathrooms to decks, additions, accessory structures, and whole-house remodels. Work includes transforming homes for clients according to well-designed plans using professionally sourced products and services. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with opportunities for overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

o Follow all safety protocols as outlined by the company

o Job site set-up & break down including site protection & safety equipment

o Bringing equipment, tools, and materials to and from storage &/or vehicles to the workspace

o Maintain a clean, safe job site throughout the day

• Plumb, level, square & straight framing of walls, floors and ceilings, and roofs including floor underlayment and subfloor, and strapping
• Prep of all types of flashing including, but not limited to, fire block, caulk, hangers and hardware, prep and flashing of windows and doors, insulation including wallboard
• Finish installation of all types of windows, door, and baseboard trim; all types of cabinetries, cabinet, door, and window hardware; all types of cabinet moldings and crown; all types of crown, wainscoting, and trim molding; custom built-ins
• Basic knowledge of tile and associated masonry waterproofing
• Possess and maintain hand tools (except those for specialty use)
• Safely and proficiently operate all power tools
• Safely operate truck, van, dump trailer
• Lift and carry a minimum of 50-100 pounds repeatedly and without restriction
• Clearly communicate issues in a timely and respectful fashion

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience is required
• Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle are required
• Above-average technical ability with an eagerness to learn
• Residential construction experience preferred

We're a safety-conscious company, so you must be able to safely:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Johnston, RI 02919: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Construction Experience: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
