Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is currently recruiting for an Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal on behalf of our client's firm located in Coral Gables, Florida. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work in a collaborative legal environment focused on intellectual property paralegal.
The IP Paralegal will support attorneys and clients in all aspects of intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of IP processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and filing of patent applications, trademark applications, and copyright registrations.
Conduct preliminary trademark searches and assist with trademark clearance matters.
Manage electronic filing and maintenance of IP portfolios.
Communicate with clients, foreign associates, and government agencies regarding IP matters.
Draft correspondence and legal documents related to IP filings and prosecution.
Coordinate international IP filings and manage related deadlines.
Conduct due diligence and assist with IP portfolio analysis.
Assist with IP litigation matters, including discovery, document management, and trial preparation.
Stay current on IP laws, regulations, and procedural requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3 years of experience as an IP Paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting.
Proficiency with IP docketing software and databases.
Strong knowledge of USPTO and WIPO filing procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
Paralegal certification.
Experience with patent docketing and document management systems.
