What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Tech position at Ascension?
Ascension St. Joesph's is looking to hire:
Pharmacy Tech
- Full time, 40 hours weekly
- Rotating shifts
What You Will Do
Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department.
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
- Repackage bulk medications.
- Receive and stores incoming supplies.
- Triage incoming calls and serves as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information.
What You Will Need
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- Pharmacy Intern.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
