What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN-Occupational Health position at Ascension?
RN- Employee Health and Wellness - Part Time (24 hours per week), Day shift, M-F, 7:30 am - 4:00 PM rotating days.
This position supports AMAW Occupational Health clinics in Southfield, Novi, Livonia, Madison Heights. This position also supports on-site services for corporate clients periodically.

What You Will Do
Provide health care services to the organization's employees in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Provide treatment for job related injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct pre-employment health screenings and immunization clinics.
- Ensure compliance with applicable workplace safety laws and regulations. May also conduct safety training programs.
- Provide employee counseling and referrals for occupational injuries and illnesses as well as other health-related matters.
- Monitor trends and causes of employee safety events and work with colleagues to identify areas of safety risk.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
Additional Preferences
- RN with ambulatory care, acute care, urgent care, and/or emergency care experience preferred.
- Professional/personable in all staff/client interactions.
