Section 1: Position Summary
The Marketing Manager strategically leads and provides tactical support to champion greater adoption and utilization of key services and features with assigned line(s) of business. This includes the support of ongoing omni-channel communications needs, product development go-to-market planning, client retention and participant engagement initiatives, point of sales positioning, differentiating thought leadership, and account engagement responsibilities based on the position requirements.
The position manages all aspects of marketing including planning, project management, creation, distribution, measurement, analysis, and potentially budgeting and vendor management. External and internal stakeholder relationship management is also a part of this role.
The ideal candidate has employee benefits, healthcare-related or financial services experience and is a quick learner who can think strategically and operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Exceptional customer service and the ability to work both individually and as part of a cross-functional team are crucial. The Marketing Manager must be able to build and foster strong and strategic relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be aware and monitor competitor marketing efforts. Draw upon these examples to demonstrate knowledge and offer additional opportunities and suggestions for marketing initiatives.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with internal partners. Keep teams informed of all marketing efforts.
- Understand and advocate for both our corporate and line-of-business brands
- Collaborate to research and create content for sales materials, client and participant educational resources, RFP responses, and presentations as requested. Participate in presentations as requested.
- Lead formal presentations to internal leadership teams and associates on key marketing initiatives.
- Lead and provide support to manage marketing strategic planning, branding initiatives, and development of marketing initiatives to drive departmental, line of business, and corporate goals
- Develop and help implement tailored, impactful content, materials, and email campaigns for key audiences that educate and inspire
- Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in employee benefits/healthcare/financial services marketing or communications
- Marketing communications management expertise
- Experience managing strategic integrated omni-channel marketing programs
- Ability to support materials like client presentations, RFPs, creative briefs, and project plans
- Ability to handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-service-driven environment
- Highly motivated, problem solver, resourceful, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
- Self-starter who is proactive and can work independently
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and with all levels of management
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to demonstrate interpretation capabilities and apply learnings across products and channels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation skills
- Prior exposure to client relationship management and marketing automation software (e.g., Pardot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics)
