We have an opportunity for a System Administrator to join our corporate IT team based in our Lexington Park, MD corporate office. This is a full-time/in-office position.
As our System Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating duties with the Information Technology (IT) staff to ensure all Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements are implemented and functional
- Conducting technical and non-technical reviews and audits
- Maintaining servers and storage devices, addressing trouble tickets (when needed), coordinating with external organizations, and identifying new software/hardware solutions to increase productivity
- Integrating software and hardware into complex secure environments
- Providing security validation of complex engineering analysis and support for firewalls, routers, networks, and operating systems
- Developing training material for general users covering the implementation of new policy or procedures, new security program initiatives, etc.
- Performing system vulnerability scans
- Implementing STIGS and conducing SCAP Report
- Providing CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware
- Collaborating with Change, Problem, and Release Management for security impacts to the environment
- Maintaining user accounts
- Other related duties may be assigned as needed
Requirements
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Computer Science or other IT-related area of study is required
- CompTIA Security certification is required
- At least 2 years of experience performing the above duties is required
- Network certification is a plus
- Experience with building a network is desired
- Knowledge of ISOL is desired
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate complex technical issues in simple terms and clearly, both orally and in writing, to a wide audience; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are critical
- Position will require occasional after-hours response to security-related company issues; some minimal travel may be expected
- The successful candidate will be proactive and able to manage competing tasks effectively and efficiently and with minimal supervision
- Effective written, verbal, analytical, and customer service skills are required

Security Clearance Requirements:
- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility.
