Summary
The colleague we are searching for will join our professional services team as a data analyst. As a data analyst, you will work on our data analytics services with a team of individuals who are collaborating with various communities and their stakeholders to identify the data assets in their community and how that data can be curated into information that can be used to ask and answer questions about key focus areas for social impact.
About the work
You will be performing data analysis for projects that serve health, justice, and social service organizations, and be consulted as a subject matter expert to our internal project teams.
Role expectations
You are known to be a team player and are excited about jumping into complex data questions, ready to build new processes and structure problem solving. You are flexible and adaptable. You are tenaciously focused on stewardship and mission: ensuring the work is always moving forward towards a larger social impact. Attention to detail is second nature, and you know how to manage both the day-to-day tactical activities on a project, as well as understand the long-range strategic elements and nuances of Asemio’s portfolio of data analytics services.
As part of the Professional Services team, you will be asked to support and possibly lead a variety of project types spanning short term strategic consulting through longer-term implementation work. You will be expected to design and maintain data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related issues. Additionally, you will need to be able to explore and mine data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganize said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine. You will use appropriate statistical tools to interpret data sets, with particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
You will prepare reports for project sponsors, data contributors, and project participants that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
In collaboration with delivery leads, project managers, engineers, and organizational leaders, you will help to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop standards for data security and governance. Finally, you will be expected to create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and its results.
You’ll be reporting to the Director of Professional Services. Depending on the projects you are assigned to, you will report to others and others to you, in alignment with a defined accountability matrix.
