The primary role of this MSL position is to support new and ongoing clinical trials, initially in immunology, while building relationships with Clinical Investigators, Thought Leaders (TLs), and specialist Health Care Providers (HCPs). The MSL provides insights to support study feasibility, site identification and selection, and patient recruitment and retention initiatives. In collaboration with the clinical operations team, the MSL identifies and facilitates resolution of investigator site issues. Physical presence in the field is a necessary job function of this role since it is critical to build relationships and collaborate with external stakeholders. The MSL will be responsible for providing scientific and clinical support to various stakeholders, including investigators, study coordinators, and other healthcare professionals involved in clinical trials. Provide scientific and technical leadership to ensure professional and credible engagement and relationships with investigators, study staff, and study team members Educate clinical trial sites and referring physicians about the clinical trial protocols, study designs, and on the disease state Engage with clinical trial site investigators and staff to understand enrollment and screening barriers, while working with sites and study teams to find solutions to support and augment clinical trial enrollment Establish and maintain close working relationships with site management and monitoring staff, including field monitors and CRAs, as well as the Company US Medical therapeutic area team to ensure professional and credible engagement and relationships with investigators As directed by the study team, establish relationships with relevant healthcare providers in the same geography as study sites who may potentially refer patients for study enrollment evaluation Provide support for medical affairs coverage at professional medical congresses as requested. While the preference is for most interactions to be in-person, it is anticipated that some interactions will leverage virtual communication. A home office must be suitable for conducting virtual engagements and interactions What do you need for this position? Advanced degree (e.g., MD, DO, PharmD, applicable PhD, NP, PA) in a relevant scientific discipline is strongly preferred Significant clinical or research experience is required. Demonstrated expertise in the scientific methods applied to clinical research and current regulatory controls applicable to clinical research. Minimum 2 years of clinical trial research experience within an academic, healthcare system, or industry setting. Qualified individuals will have a strong experience with clinical research and study site logistics. Experience in developing and maintaining expert knowledge in a therapeutic area Prior pharmaceutical industry experience as a Medical Liaison or Clinical Trial Liaison preferred Knowledge of FDA compliance and regulatory requirements. Established track record of effective and influential oral presentations within the healthcare profession, including experience presenting to both large and small audiences is required for success in this position. Clinical training experience preferred in: Immunology Oncology Pulmonology/Respiratory Cardiovascular/Renal/Metabolism Monoclonal Antibodies Results-oriented and self-motivated Critical Thinker Excellent written, oral, communication, leadership, and organizational skills Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time Solid interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated relationship builder Excellent presentation and writing skills. Skilled in use of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Project etc.) Must have a style that promotes respect, credibility, and trust throughout the organization. COVID-19 Vaccination required.
