Registered Nurse

Who you are:

• You love working with Seniors and their families. You recognize that each interaction is an opportunity to make a difference in the resident's life.
• You treat everyone you come in contact with in a supporting and compassionate way.
• RN license for the state in which you will work
• Minimum of 1 year of geriatric/senior living RN work preferred
• Active certifications or the ability to get certified right away in First Aid, CPR, and medications
• Knowledge of state rules, regulations, fire codes and other safety practices
• Knowledge of resident rights
• Strong communicator both verbally and in writing
• Ability to use office equipment such as computers, printers, fax machines, email
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and facility issues and records

What your day will look like:

• Oversee the coordination of all clinical aspects of residents health services including care provided by the facility and outside service providers; ensures residents have signed doctor's orders for all medications, diets, treatments, outside services, etc.
• Manages the medication assistance program to ensure that medications and treatments are being carried out as intended; ensure all unused and expired medications are disposed of properly
• Delegation/assignment of medication assistance; delegation of other nursing activities such as wound care and insulin to facility care team members; train on proper methods, observe for accuracy, effectiveness, maintain proper documentation, according to Board of Nursing requirements
• Performs nursing assessments regularly and on a per needed basis, such as change in condition, to determine and monitor resident needs, wants, and abilities
• Documents residents conditions to ensure communication between all care providers
• Additional duties as assigned by management
