Swimming Pool Designer
We are seeking an ambitious Swimming Pool Designer to become a part of our team! This person will work hand in hand with the company owner, assisting in all aspects of design. The job entails designing residential swimming pools and landscape within Pool Studio software.
Swimming Pool Designer uses AutoCAD to create detailed schematics utilized in the construction of residential and commercial swimming pools and spas. Schematics include site plans, dimension plans, piping plans & schematics, section & detail views and utility requirements.
Pool Studio software is also utilized to create visual sales presentations during the bid phase for new projects. Pool Studio material takeoffs, preliminary equipment sizing and labor estimates are compiled to estimate job costs.
The designer will work with sales teams, architects and engineering professionals to design recreational facilities.
Experience Requirements:
- Oversee project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
- Prepare designs keeping in mind client’s needs and budget
- Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
- Background in hydraulic design
- Understanding of concrete structures and reinforcing
- Familiarity with electrical systems and local building codes
- Significant experience with swimming pool construction, construction details
- Good communication and project management skills
- AutoCAD Designers will work in conjunction with other drafters/employees to ensure accuracy and best practices of the designed product or concept
- Receives revisions requests by telephone or email, analyzes requests, and provides drawings per the customer request for use with HOA and City and County approvals
- Provides prints for company when needed along with any other duties asked of them by their supervisor or superior
- Answer calls and communicate with customers to troubleshoot issues in the field
- Knowledge of grades and elevations to design accurately
- Create world class presentations using video to present clients with a wow factor.
- Assist construction team by providing material take offs
Software Requirements:
- 1 year working with Pool Studio a plus
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Pool Studio, Revit and BIM experience preferred
