Job Title: Facilities Coordinator Location: Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center Salary: $28-$32 Per Hour ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Building Electrician at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center & Entertainment Center. Under general supervision of the Electrical Supervisor & Director of Facilities, the Electrician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility electrical systems (120/208v, 120/240v, and 277/480v) and lighting systems, providing temporary power for food and beverage, and distributing show power for certain events. Job Summary: The Facilities Coordinator at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center will be responsible for coordinating the facilities departments activities which include but is not limited to the following, assisting the Director of Facilities in all aspects of operations, event requirement compliance, safety training and implementation of all written best practices, assisting in the management of processing work orders from creation through to completion, maintaining the required asset management program, assist in ensuring safe and efficient operation of the entire complex. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft computer applications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Management. Attention to detail and a flexible schedule are essential. The wage rate for this position is $28.00 to $32.00 per hour. Key Responsibilities: 1. Work Order Management: - Assist in the production, review progress, prioritize, and manage work orders for preventative and reactionary maintenance and repairs. - Coordinate with internal departments and any external vendors to ensure timely completion of work orders. - Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate records of work orders, including details of completed tasks, costs, and materials used. - Track and follow up on outstanding work orders to ensure resolution. - Generate reports on the work order program. 2. Asset Management: - Maintain a comprehensive inventory of facility assets, including equipment, fixtures, and supplies. - Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and ensure assets are in good working condition. - Coordinate with the procurement team to source and purchase required materials and equipment. - Develop and implement new preventive maintenance schedules to minimize asset downtime. 3. Department Coordination: - Collaborate with the engineering, grounds, paint, maintenance, and electrical departments to ensure smooth operations. - Assist in the scheduling of departmental activities, including routine maintenance, repairs, and installations. - Facilitate effective communication and coordination between departments to maximize productivity and minimize disruptions. - Act as a liaison between departmental staff and management to address operational issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 4. Computer Skills: - Utilize Microsoft computer applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, to create reports, maintain records, and communicate effectively. - Manage facility-related data and generate reports as required. - Leverage computer skills to streamline work order management and asset tracking processes. 5. Maintenance Building Experience: - Apply knowledge and expertise in building maintenance to effectively address facility-related issues. - Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and recommend appropriate actions. - Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in building maintenance to enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications and Skills: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field. - Proficiency in Microsoft computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Any project management program experience is a plus. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with various departments and stakeholders. - Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. - Knowledge of asset management principles and preventive maintenance strategies. - Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in facility operations. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Flexibility in schedule to accommodate evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
