Role and responsibilities
The mission of the Information Management department is to unleash R&D’s full potential by maximizing productivity. The Business Managed Equipment (BME) team ensures that the R&D organization has the proper means, processes, facilities and IT tooling to be successful. Our scope of support includes D&E, BL-Apps, CIP, Research & System Engineering.As the BME Lead - Wilton, you will be part of a creative and dynamic team that collaborates to solve challenges that impact the R&D organization.
This role will have a wide range of interfaces with organizations such as IT, Customer Support, Operations and Risk & Business Assurance. You will also interface with other programs, projects and agile teams.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the US Group Lead and BME team in the Netherlands to manage the improvement of business managed equipment policies, processes and organization within R&D.
- Be the first point of contact for R&D employees with questions on BME.
- Embed BME policies by identifying, monitoring, securing and reporting on BME within R&D.
- Building your own reference network, and use the networks of others to generate support, and activate stakeholders throughout the (R&D) organization.
- In partnership with other sectors, drive for new or improved business (technical) solutions to challenges relating to BME.
- Support the development of required trainings and required support organization to successfully embed BME processes within the R&D organization.
- Initiate, formulate and implement new solutions for improvement, monitoring relationships with other relevant disciplines.
- Actively participate in project initiatives, providing input from a US perspective to ensure a successful implementation.

Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science or combination of education and/or equivalent related work experience.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Relevant computer science and security certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of information technology experience in a multinational organization.
- General understanding of networking, protocols, firewalls and operating systems.
- Background working in matrixed and multi-disciplinary project teams, including virtual working with teams across a number of regions.
- Experience working with IT / R&D organizations is a plus.
