Job Description
Summary
The Experience Manager is responsible for selling, planning and executing private and public experiences on and off the mountain, throughout the winter and summer seasons. This position will involve hands-on, on-site management of all event experiences and staff, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality engagement for attendees at every event. The Experience Manager is also responsible for planning and executing internal and external sales calls/meetings with specific teams.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
- Work with Senior Experiences Manager to curate and deliver world-class experiences
- Give attention to every detail around event planning and execution, from guest greeting to exceptional standards for service and aesthetic on site.
- Sell experiences for ASPENX across all channels – (email/phone/in person). Provide timely follow-up with guests as necessary and convert leads into sales with confidence.
- Actively participate with Senior Experiences Manager to create new Experiences from planning stages to working with partners, brands and marketing to bring them to life.
- Client management, providing tailored offerings based on guests needs from creation through execution and follow up, as necessary. Building relationships with clients while anticipating and exceeding their needs and troubleshooting issues in a timely, calm and professional manner
- Work with Senior Experience Manger to hire staff to execute experiences
- On-site management of staff during event and experience execution
- Hosting, assisting and collaborating with our key partners and brands such as LVMH, Cincoro, Burgess and many others.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key Aspen Skiing Company and Aspen Hospitality personnel to facilitate effective communication and execution with the following departments - Product Sales & Services, Hospitality Operations, Ski and Snowboard Schools, Rental/Retail, Administration, Guest Services, Online Services, and Mountain Operations
- Share feedback with management regarding products and procedures to enhance the guest experience and immediately address opportunities
- Share intimate knowledge of local mountains and daily ski conditions
- Understand the department’s budget and operate within it while analyzing trends from daily financial snapshots, historical reports and forecasts
- Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- At least 2 years of experience working in a role responsible for delivering a high level of guest service required
- At least 2 years of experience working events required
- Sales experience preferred
- Managerial experience in an event setting preferred (servers, kitchen staff, drivers, etc.)
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Bi-lingual preferred
Additional Information
Supervision Given and Received
Supervision Given: Exercises direct supervision over various event staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of the Senior Experience Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required
- Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level
- Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Regular outdoor work with exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
