The RoleIndustrial Analytics is one of the hottest software markets in the planet right now. Accordingly, Asset Performance Management (APM) is the high growth engine for the industrial software powerhouse AspenTech.

The VP of APM sales primary responsibility is to lead the global APM sales team to drive new APM deals, increase usage and product adoption, achieve aggressive growth objectives, and sustain the company's leading position as a the biggest APM player in our targeted industries. The VP must ensure that APM meets and exceeds its enterprise revenue, and profitability objectives. To accomplish these objectives, the leader will help the team transform from a product focus to a truly consultative, solution-selling mindset and capability that increases our ability to deliver value for its customers.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced enterprise software sales leader with a proven track record of successfully leading a high-growth sales organization. The Company seeks an individual who brings both experience in an industrial sales environment and who possesses the intellectual capability, leadership skills, organizational and process abilities to drive exceptional performance. Furthermore, the experience will have been gained at one of the recognized leaders in industrial software. This individual must have a strong track record selling enterprise solutions at the senior executive level. Additionally, the ideal candidate will know how to build value for the Company and its customers and have proven experience in doing so over the short, medium and long term.

Your Impact
  • *Drive growth with urgency and meet/exceed assigned business unit sales targets.
  • Partner with field team and the business unit to develop and implement sales and go-to-market strategies to meet or exceed annual budgetary objectives.
  • Help create a partner strategy which augments our direct sales team and to meet or exceed plan
  • Review and provide feedback around the appropriate APM marketing strategy and messaging
  • Build and a strong and highly motivated sales team that can execute on a unified customer engagement model focused on establishing sustainable C-suite relationships.
  • Lead internal/external company sales functions and manage and monitor key sales pipeline and performance indicators to ensure achievement of financial goals.
  • Lead complex sales negotiations and attend sales presentations to close key deals.
  • Hire, supervise, develop and mentor a world-class sales team

What You'll Need
  • Track record of growth and exceeding quota in a similar team environment
  • Extensive experience in direct professional sales including C-level clients
  • Experience of successful sales management including management of multiple Account Managers and sales overlay sellers
  • Experience managing teams at a global level
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Demonstrated record of sales strategy development and successful implementation
  • Preference given for sales experience with technical or enterprise software in the process industries
  • Experience selling software in fields such as APM, EAM, CCMS, process engineering
