The Role The VP’s primary responsibility is to lead the NORAM Energy team to expand the company’s total addressable market, increase usage and product adoption, achieve aggressive growth objectives, and sustain the company’s leading position as a supplier of software and services to its targeted industries. The VP must ensure that the company meets and exceeds its enterprise revenue, profitability and budgetary objectives by leveraging strategic planning, people management, enterprise sales, and customer relationship skills. To accomplish these objectives, the new leader will lead a continued transformation of the sales organization from a product focus to a truly consultative, solution-selling mindset and capability that increases the Company’s ability to drive value for its customers. The ideal candidate will be an experienced enterprise software sales leader with a proven track record of successfully leading a high-growth sales organization. The Company seeks an individual who brings both experience in a relevant sales environment and who possesses the intellectual capability, leadership skills, organizational and process abilities to drive exceptional performance. Given the focus on revenue and growth, the successful candidate will have a combination of sales leadership, a penchant for managing “by the numbers” and the ability to lead a team. That experience will have been gained at one of the recognized leaders in enterprise applications or systems technology firms. This individual must have experience leading a transformation of a sales organization and a strong track record selling enterprise solutions at the senior executive level. The ideal candidate will know how to build value for the Company and its customers and have proven experience in doing so over the short, medium and long term. Drive growth with urgency and meet/exceed assigned regional sales targets. Partner with field team to develop and implement regional sales and go-to-market strategies that expand the company’s total addressable market, generate increased usage and product adoption, achieve aggressive objectives in growth in license annual spend, and meet or exceed annual budgetary objectives. Build a strong and highly motivated leadership team that can execute on a unified customer engagement model focused on establishing sustainable C-suite relationships. Lead internal/external company sales functions and manage and monitor key sales pipeline and performance indicators to ensure achievement of financial goals. Lead complex sales negotiations and attend sales presentations to close key deals. Hire, supervise, develop and mentor a world-class Your Impact Track record of growth and exceeding quota in a similar team environment Extensive experience in direct professional sales including C-level clients Experience of successful sales management including management of multiple Account Managers and first line leaders Bachelor’s Degree Master’s Degree or PhD would be beneficial Demonstrated record of sales strategy development and successful implementation Preference given for sales experience with technical or enterprise software in the process industries Knowledge of relevant industries, business operations, and industry sector leaders What You'll Need Able to work collaboratively and effectively lead, motivate, and manage sales professionals Demonstrates a strong methodology on leadership and understand resonant leadership Possess strong executive presence and ability effectively engage at executive level and influence key decision makers Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills Adaptable; able to switch approach/styles relevant to the situation Demonstrated ability to succeed in a high intensity, results-oriented environment Demonstrates strong analytical skills Travel required approximately 60% of the time.
