Swim School Administrator (BPC)

Description

Asphalt Green is looking to hire an outgoing and organized individual with both swim instructor and administrative experience. This is a great opportunity to grow in the aquatics industry at a highly successful non-profit with a mission to serve New Yorkers of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. This is a full-time role situated at our Battery Park City location in lower Manhattan (see www.asphaltgreen.org for more information). The position is on-site with Saturdays as a part of the weekly schedule (Sunday and Monday off). Note: There is an opportunity for additional compensation teaching private swimming lessons. 

Responsibilities

• Handle heavy phone calls and emails communicating with parents, swimmers (current or prospective enrollees or parents of enrollees) providing information relating to swim lessons in a clear, concise and customer friendly manner.
• Work closely with the Registration Department ensuring that program participants are correctly registered; assist with registrations, transfers, cancellations, and waitlist management using proprietary software.
• Conduct swim evaluations and orientations for clients new to the Swim School helping these new clients settle in.
• Collect customer data using Microsoft Office 365 distributing info as directed.
• Collect and organize instructor availabilities/feedback each semester; share relevant feedback from instructors.
• Create and maintain a competitive analysis for both programming and staffing.
• Help to oversee part time swim instructors and handle administrative tasks on an as needed basis.
• Host exemplary staff training, emphasizing the importance of creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Increase staff engagement and working experience by planning appreciation and culmination events.
• Create both customer and employee feedback platforms; track KPIs and provide analysis to upper management for utility. 
• Perform additional managerial & administrative tasks related to the Aquatics Department.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have collegiate or club swimming experience. Strong organizational and computer (Office 365) skills are a must for success in this very busy role. Excellent writing and people skills are also expected to allow for smooth communication with our customers, who can be very demanding.
