What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Peer Support Partner (North) position at AspireHopeNY?
AspireHopeNY, Inc. is hiring a Family Peer Support Partner to provide peer support, strength-based advocacy, family support services, educational opportunities and transitional services for families with youth who are entering, already in, or being discharged from a residential treatment facility or a community residence located at Tuckahoe Rd. and Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC).
Must be a parent or caregiver of a child with emotional, behavioral and/or developmental challenges. Personal experience with a child in placement preferred. Must have experience with children's mental health, education, or other community services.
High school Diploma or GED required; must be credentialed as a Family Peer Advocate or willing to begin the certification process upon hire. Must have good organizational skills. Good communication skills needed, including public speaking, listening and assertiveness.
Must have reliable transportation and able to travel within the region. Must be able to work afternoons and evenings with possible weekend hours. Must provide consent and pass all required clearances.
$14.95 per hour; 37.5 hours; mileage & medical reimbursement; paid time off.
