We are seeking a NURSE MANAGER to work at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital in Ontonagon, Michigan. The Manager has direct responsibility for the management, supervision, and day-to-day operation of the departments. Responsibilities include the assurance of high quality, safe and efficient patient care, with a service excellence focus. Leads and coordinates a wide variety of fiscal, clinical, and technical activities to ensure attainment of goals and objectives.

Experience/Qualifications/Licensure

• Michigan RN license
• CPR/BLS, ACLS, CNOR
• Knowledge of patient care standards and management practices in a healthcare environment normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing/Nursing Management or Healthcare Administration; or Bachelor’s degree within a mutually agreed upon timeframe based on experience. Graduation from a school of nursing.
• 3 to 4 years of clinical experience.
• Prior nursing management experience.

Hours: This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period.

Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital, a licensed 25-bed Critical Access Hospital is dedicated to serving the residents of Ontonagon County and the surrounding area. You will find a wide range of services, some of which you might not normally expect to find in a small rural setting including a 46-bed skilled nursing unit and rehabilitation and fitness center. Our average admissions are 700 per year with 3,000 annual ER visits. We also have in/outpatient therapies at our Fitness Center.
