ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc. and will be assigned to the Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases (DFWED), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), at the CDC, 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA, to provide scientific and technical support for the EDLB.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Project Manager II will provide management support services to support EDLB PulseNet Modernization efforts.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides project management services for the PulseN et Modernization effort;
- Meets routinely with Principal Investigator to provide status reports and understand needs and obstacles related to PulseNet Modernization effort;
- Assists with development of project budgets and resource needs, monitor and report on status during project life cycle;
- Plans and coordinates weekly meetings to ensure project deliverables and milestones are met in a timely manner.
- Develops, evaluates, and monitors project work plan and timelines to meet deliverables and milestones in a timely manner.
- Serve as a point-of-contact on relevant PulseNet Modernizations communications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a health, business, or communications-related area.
- 10 years of professional work in an IT project coordination role.
- Demonstrated experience in a government setting.
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Microsoft SharePoint.
- Project Management Professional Certification.
- 3 years Agile/Scrum experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing coordination and management of an effective IT-based team.
- Experience managing multiple development projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal managerial supervision.
Desirable:
- Ability to work and build coalitions with partners involved and develop strategies for effectively conveying information to partners.
- Knowledge of IT Industry Specific Processes.
- Experience in iterative, agile and/or scrum development.
Language Skills:
- The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
REQUIREMENT:
