Job Summary: Job Description: The Director of Human Resources position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful candidate is both a company and employee champion. The role assesses, anticipates, and provides solutions to the businesses for HR-related needs. The position formulates partnerships across the Volaris HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The position may include international human resource responsibilities. The candidate maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. Essential Functions Build collaborative relationships at multiple organizational levels, with Executives, Managers, HR partners and Employees located globally Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Ensure a high-quality delivery of HR services to employees within the group. Oversee and execute annual Talent Management process; follow-up on professional development plans and succession planning; Perform due diligence on acquisition targets, building comprehensive HR Diligence reports, onboarding newly acquired companies and ensuring portfolio HR programs and processes are adhered to. Analyze trends and metrics in partnership to develop cost-effective solutions, programs and policies. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintain an up to date and in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the internal/external legal department as needed. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. THE CANDIDATE We are seeking an HR professional who is self-motivated, a critical thinker, influential, diplomatic, and very business savvy. This role is equally HR-focused and business-based and is very well-suited to an individual who can see the big picture and execute on all the necessary steps toward continued Group growth and achievement of portfolio and corporate goals. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience. Prior experience supporting globally dispersed workforce Proven track record of building strong working relationships with business and human resource partners while fostering a cooperative work environment. Able to contribute to the overall management strategy and interact with cross functional teams. Proven ability to develop and implement proven Talent management strategies. Ability to successfully consult and to positively influence multiple stakeholders at the same time. Strong Business Acumen to support focus on long-term goals and strategy. Results oriented and self-motivated with natural leadership abilities. Energetic and determined to succeed. Creative, logical, and analytical. Innovative in new approaches. Some travel will be required including international travel related to acquisition targets, newly acquired companies and other strategic events. SKILLS REQUIRED: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency using HRIS software; Workday experience is an asset Proficiency using Excel and other Microsoft products Degree qualified (post -secondary) in HR or related area of study Human Resources certification (SPHR, CHRP etc.) is preferred, or equivalent HR education Work Environment This position may work remotely but is expected to travel periodically Worker Type: Regular Number of Openings Available: 1
