Description

As an Audit Manager, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive auditing and industry experience, helping our clients by providing efficient and effective external audit services and consulting as required. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Partners
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Be actively involved in the recruitment of new staff and seniors
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff and seniors
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and the Assurance Dimensions brand

Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree Required:Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum Years Of Experience:6-8 years, preferably 1 year experience in the audit manager role.
  • Certification(s) Required:CPA license. International hires are required to have passed the equivalent accounting certification exam in the selected individual’s home country and be a current member of the accounting association. For the United Kingdom either be a current and active Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) or a Chartered Accountant (CA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the common business and accounting issues facing not for profit entities, publicly and non-publicly traded companies in a variety of industries along with 401k plans. These issues include but are not limited to: mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, entrepreneurship, funding requirements for startup companies, single audit testing for not for profits receiving government or state grants, and FDOT audits. Technical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States (U.S. GAAP), International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards. Technically auditing knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS) and International Auditing Standards (ISA).
  • Demostrates extensive internal controls understanding and proven success of implementing SOX or internal control audits including integrated audits for public companies from identifying controls through to operating effectiveness testing and conclusions.
  • Demonstrates Extensive Abilities And/or a Proven Record Of Success As a Team Leader And Team Member Within The US Assurance Practice Of a Global Network Of Professional Services Firms, Including, But Not Limited To, The Following Areas

  • Relationships: reacting positively and providing well-reasoned and self-assured responses, even when challenged; managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and creating positive outcomes for all parties; and, managing the expectations of clients, seeking and acting on client feedback.
  • Business Acumen: incorporating up-to-date technology/technology developments in their work; seeking opportunities to add value to client account planning; and, promoting new ideas and services by applying knowledge of the industry/sector and societal trends to create value for clients, Assurance Dimensions and broader stakeholders.
  • Technical Capabilities: building their knowledge of the firm’s service offerings related to their area of specialization; seeking new learning opportunities to stay technical and relevant; identifying and sharing learnings at the end of a project; and, addressing sub-standard work or work which does not meet the firm’s/clients expectations.
  • Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in a professional services environment including: innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digital solutions; working closely with our clients to provide detailed insights to their businesses and utilize all tools available to them to reduce hours and optimize the completion of engagements.
