General Responsibilities:
The LKiChoice/Lori Knapp Richland Inc. Payroll Specialist is responsible for timesheet management of all hired workers, ensuring that workers are paid on time and by federal, state, and funding agency regulations and per wage and hour laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collecting, verifying, validating, and processing timesheets relating to fiscal agent payroll
- Resolution and documentation of timesheet discrepancies before the generation of a payroll transaction
- Process checks/direct deposit within established timeframes
- Provide support for hired workers on timesheet completion and understanding
- Process all needed payroll tax and other required withholdings
- Withhold federal, state, and FICA taxes per each hired worker’s W-4 and deposit these taxes on behalf of the participant/member (employer) and hired worker.
- Withhold garnishments and other deductions as directed by the employer or other legal and tax authorities.
- Maintain payroll records for every employer and hired worker according to state and federal laws and regulations.
- Respond to requests for wages, employment verifications, and audits on behalf of the employer.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with all participants/members, hired workers, ICs, Care managers, and other external customers.
- Provide quick follow-up and resolution to payroll questions and concerns.
- Adherence to all Fiscal agent policies and procedures
- Perform all other payroll tasks as needed
- Customer service excellence
- Adhere to established LKiChoice policies, procedures, and expectations
- Other duties as required to maintain a high-quality program
Who You Are:
- Excellent communication skills via telephone, email, and in person.
- General math, clerical, data entry, and customer service.
- Strong data entry and process skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented.
- Computer skills using Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
- The high degree of professionalism and confidentiality regarding all aspects of the position and its responsibilities
- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Client-first mentality with the ability to interact with internal and external clients at all levels.
