Overview
The Surety Account Executive is responsible for executing bid, performance, payments and other bonds. The Surety Account Executive also creates and maintains relationships with all surety clients and underwriters, services and invoices their contract and miscellaneous needs, and obtains current financial and other pertinent information for the surety company.

Responsibilities
Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.
- Executes all bid, performance, payment, and miscellaneous bonds in a timely manner which is consistent with state and federal law, company policies and procedures.
- Manages renewal of all miscellaneous surety bonds and contract surety bonds.
- Invoices all bonds and mediates billing disputes. Collects premiums that remain unpaid for more than 60 days.
- Keeps all information pertaining to financial year end statements, interim statements, bank lines of credit, insurance certificates, and personal financial statements for owners up-to-date.
- Handles all general correspondence and maintain a working relationship with clients and underwriters.
- Executes indemnity agreements.
- Works with Surety Account Managers to develop company-wide surety procedures and establish practical surety policies.
- Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
- Provides sales support at the direction of the Producer. This includes assisting in selling and marketing in coordination with all Agency personnel involved in new or existing business.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel is expected to be in this role.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree from college or technical school; or 4-8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Property and Casualty License
- 5 years of experience in commercial surety with 1-3 years of experience of independently managing a book at an insurance agency
- Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Agency Management Software; Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
- Prefer certified notary designation; other professional designations preferred as well
