This position is non-exempt, scheduled at 64 hours per biweekly pay period, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Astera Health offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and retirement. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Works closely with doctors, specialists, and other care providers to deliver care to patients in the clinic setting by planning, organizing, coordinating, and educating patients
- Provides support and assistance for providers; collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care
- Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices; administers treatments and assesses patients during appointments when needed
- Supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within the care team to support the needs of the team and the patients and their families
- Coordinates care, assesses patients, provides education and triages patient care concerns
- Maintains complete, timely and accurate clinic documentation
Competencies required include:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates a high degree of commitment to customer service excellence
- Understanding of health care system and continuum of care, delivery models, and the roles of various providers
- Strong computer skills with ability to become skilled in EPIC with training
Education and experience required:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Minnesota
