What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefit Specialist (Or) Case Manager position at Aston Carter?

Option
1: Case Manager
Pay: $41,600 annually
Job Overview:
- Effectively uses internal technology platform to complete
claims processing and keep workflows moving
- Communicate with key medical practice accounts, sales
representatives regarding the status of cases
Option 2: Benefits Specialist
Pay: $37,440 annually
Job Overview:
- Performing patient level
benefits verifications for all major medicals and pharmacy benefit plans
- Completion of template forms
that provide patent level benefits Coverage Determination Summary
- Coordination of prior
authorizations based on payer guidelines and in compliance with law, regulation
or guidance
- Review of patient assistance
enrollment forms and any supporting documentation to assess patient eligibility
for participation as per SOP's and program guidelines
- Determination of patient's
eligibility based upon program criteria for qualification
- Communicating the patient's
eligibility to the patient, healthcare provider and/or consignment pharmacy.
Schedule/Shifts:
Client determines shift based on candidate availability -
shifts range from 8am - 11pm
- shifts begin every 30 min starting at 8am (8am, 8:30am,
9:00am, etc.) with their last shift beginning at 11:30am.
NO MORE PART TIME SHIFTS AVAILABLE!
Training - morning & evening training classes are
available
Morning training begins at 8:30am and afternoon training
starts at 11:00am
Time Off Requests:
- No more than 3 days off within the first 6 months - time
off must be approved in advance.
- No time off allowed between February - March (black out
dates)
Pay Ranges: (to be determined by the client)
Benefit Specialist:
$18/hr - $19.50/hr
Case Managers:
$18/hr - $21/hr
HYBRID
SCHEDULE:
- After 6 mo of training; candidates are eligible to work 1
week in office/1 week remotely, dependent on attendance & productivity
meeting standards
Requirements:
**All employees working on-site are strongly encouraged to
be vaccinated against COVID-19, but not required**
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent
experience required; completion of high school diploma or GED is required
- Healthcare experience required - unless candidate has bachelors
degree & Strong customer service experience/tenure
- Medical terminology - strongly preferred
- 6 months of payer benefits experience (reimbursement,
prior auth, etc), healthcare industry experience or healthcare related
experience is required
- Bilingual is a plus but not
required

Office-based environment -
ability to sit for extended periods of time is necessary
