What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer-Planner position at Aston Carter?
Biotech manufacutring company is hiring a Buyer/Planner! The Buyer/Planner is primarily responsible for standard purchasing tasks and support planning duties.
Purchasing duties include daily processing of purchase requisitions and purchase orders, monitoring delivery of purchased materials to meet manufacturing demands following Purchasing SOP, collaborate with cross-functional team to ensure clear communication and accuracy, support new supplier onboarding process.
Planning duties include supporting data updates for work orders, perform inventory verifications, generate and analyze ERP reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Process purchase requisitions in a timely basis
- Ensure purchasing process following Vector’s approved supplier policy
- Enter purchase orders and submission to suppliers
- Follow up and maintain availability and expected delivery dates
- Run open purchase order report and outline potential items at risk
- Investigate shipment and invoice discrepancies as needed
- Run Daily Back Order report
- Run current finish good inventory report biweekly
- Run custom open line items by Products weekly
- Run expired finish goods report monthly
- Run items expire in 30 days or less report monthly
- Maintain and update work order dates and schedule tracker
Qualifications:
- BS or BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3- 5 years’ work experience in manufacturing environment
- 1-2 years of purchasing/planning experience
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, Pivot Tables)
